Return of the Crammed Organisms!

I just got a box-o-plush in the mail! The plushies I'd sent to be in the Crammed Organisms show returned to me today, along with the official Crammed Organisms book! That's the part I was really excited about, because... well, look!


That's right, a full spread of Red Thread Plushies!!! And guess who get's a page all to himself (with a landmark in the background, no less)!


I'll be listing our celebrity friends in the shop over the next few days, so keep your eyes open for updates!


Additionally, here's the plushie I made yesterday, Sunny the cat!


She's pretty darn cute and very fluffy and cuddly :) She's currently listed in our shop.

New Things

I finally got around to making a couple of the autumn ornaments I've been planning for a while, and I think they came out really cute! One of these pumpkin ornaments is now listed in our shop. Nobody has even viewed them yet, though. Oh well. I guess maybe nobody else wants non-Christmas ornaments :P



I also just made a sweet new banner that I'm pretty proud of. I think it looks a lot more professional but still in a playful spirit. I like that you can even see some of our plushies in it. :)

It would seem that my nanny job is now really (really) over. Yesterday was my official last day. Barb (my former boss) is helping me get the word out about my "childcare services," so I'm really hoping that opens some doors. We shall see!

We've found something new to do with our time. Rachel has been yearning for a new creative outlet, and has indeed found one. It started with her drawing every day. Drawing led to blogs about drawing. Blogs about drawing led to other blogs about making plushies...

You know what they say about giving a mouse a cookie... or moose a muffin... or... something to something.

Meet our newest, quietest roommates.


The only one that has an official name yet is the chinchilla on the left hand side. His name is Johnny Sweets, he's a detective and sweet roll connoisseur. He probably stole it from that very surprised looking raccoon.
