posh posh the traveling life...

This is a picture shamelessly swiped from Andrea.

At that seminary picnic thing we went to they were doing hot air balloon rides. We thought that was pretty cool and Andrea was determined to be the first one in line, but they were sneaky about it and somehow got kids in the basket without forming a line at all... oh well. The balloon was tied down and only went up about 20 feet anyway.

In this picture the balloon is almost inflated and is being heated up by what looked like a flame thrower... we thought we might be crushed as it came lumbering and tottering toward us, but didn't mind, as being crushed by a hot air balloon would be a pretty sweet way to die. As fate would have it, we did not get crushed, but there was a hot air balloon crash (I think 2 people died and 11 were injured) that same day in another country... what are the odds?? Who knew it was possible to die via hot air balloon? It could have been us....

I kind of forgot you had a blogger blog. So I just caught up on a bunch of your old posts. You guys are so fun and interesting!! You make really good homemade meals, you go out with friends, you like strange postcards (what on earth is Renoir?). I'm jealous of your interesting life. Haha. I also want to know if you have a special camera (I think it's called SLR?). Your pictures turn out so nicely. My little point-and-shoot doesn't take pictures like that.

Ok, long comment over!! Glad you survived a potential hot air balloon disaster!
