Cheeeese! I can't believe it, but today is Orion's first birthday! In a way it went by SO quickly, but in another it feels like he's been around forever. He has changed so much in the last year!
Orion a few minutes after he was born It's so strange looking at our old pictures and videos from when he was first born... he was such a funny little creature! He has learned and grown so much.
Let's compare!
At birth:
Length: 21 inches
Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz
At one year:
Length: 29 inches
Weight: 20 lbs
He was even weighed on the big kid scale at his appointment yesterday! His weight has jumped up on the chart- he's doing great :)
Rare snuggle time with DaddyLately O has been sleeping like a champ! I don't know if we ever posted about it on here, but we took his pacifier away probably a month ago and I think it's helped his sleep a ton! He usually sleeps from about 8:30-7:30 and rarely wakes up during the night. He's learning to go to sleep for naps by himself (as in we put him in the crib awake and leave the room and he goes to sleep) and is doing very well most times. He's in a good schedule and usually naps twice a day. It's so nice to have a good sleeper :)
Bath time at Aunt Rachel'sOrion is cruising around furniture constantly and loves to climb. He's not walking (or standing unassisted much) yet, but we're guessing it'll be soon-ish... maybe. He crawls so fast there's no reason to walk :P
KITTY!O still LOVES cats and chases them all over the house. Charles is so good with him and even lets O catch him occasionally. I wouldn't be surprised if his first real word was "kitty." He already makes sounds sort of like "kitty" when he sees Charles.

Birthday lunch at Wendy'sWe went out to Wendy's today for lunch for O's birthday and he loved it, of course. He wouldn't share my baked potato because it had broccoli in it... ha! He's a little pickier than he used to be but he still eats OK.
We're having his birthday party/cake next week when his aunts are here for Thanksgiving, so we'll have pictures of that up later!

Happy first birthday o!!!! I've known you since "the womb" :) You HAVE change so much, but your little face still looks the same as the minute you were born picture! :) you are a handsome little boy... And b loves you too :) happy birthday buddy!
The photos are fantastic! He looks good in his new clothes. They just fit! Even if you have a girl next time, she can wear the coveralls. You did! O looks so much older! Wait till the new baby comes. The first born looks like they are ready for school in comparison! Thanks for posting so many photos. I downloaded them! Mu-ah-ha-ha!
Oh my gosh, he looks so old and grown up in the sink/tub picture!! I can really see the likeness to you, Rachel, in that one! Great post!
