Full Saturday

This morning Nathan had a mystery interview near Cincinnati. He got a call the other day from a guy asking if he'd like an interview, and Nate said "sure," not knowing what on earth the job was, the company was, or even how they got his number. He still doesn't know how they got his number, but got to find out more about the company at the interview today, which was a group interview and a presentation on the company. They're associated with Citi [bank] and help people learn how to get out of debt and manage their money well. It sounds like it'd be a great opportunity, so I hope his next interview goes well on Monday.

We went out to lunch with the Young at Heart today for Larry's birthday this week. It was pretty tasty... and free! :)

We did a bit more house hunting this afternoon! We went to see two places. One is right around the corner from here, across the street from Carlisle High School. It's a 3 bedroom 1 bath ranch house with mostly hardwood floors. All the windows are new except the ones in the garage. It's really a pretty nice place, though the bedrooms (and closets) are pretty tiny. The yard is nice and big. The taxes are low. The only major downsides are that it smells like cigarette smoke (ew.) and it's actually a little over our price range (that's the kicker. We obviously don't know if we could get the price down low enough).

The second house was a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom termite infested rotting PILE OF JUNK! Someone absolutely destroyed this house. Scary.

This evening we went bowling! Our church had a bowling party and it only cost $2 a person for all the bowling you want plus a burger, fries, and a drink! Woot! It was pretty fun... even though we're really bad at bowling.

I think I might have broken or maybe bruised a bone (or joint?) in my foot somehow. It's been hurting for a few days and I've noticed I'm tilting my foot sideways when I walk to avoid putting pressure on that spot. No good. I'm not going to do anything about it for the next couple weeks to see if it heals itself, but if it doesn't I'll get it checked out. Ouchie.
