Baby Plants

Here they are! One day old sprouts. These are marigolds, and they're definitely ahead of the growth curve. The tomatoes, peppers, etc. are just starting to show signs of life... some have popped up but haven't learned to stand up straight yet.

Here's what our setup looks like. I labeled them so I don't forget what's what.

Oh, how lovely!!! You really have a great setup. And, I'm guessing, no little people to come mess it up. :D hehe. I did those a couple years ago (so fun to watch them 'grow'), and then saw my old ukranian neighbor toss a handful of seeds into one medium-ish pot, and when all the tomatoes sprouted, THEN she transferred them into their own little spot. Tricksy, I thought, so I tried that last year, and it wasn't too bad. When I ran out of transferable-places, I felt bad but kept them all growing in a jungle anyway. :)

ahhh!! mike and i have been trying to grow some flowers for our garden, and some herbs... it's not been going well, i've very jealous that you actually have plants... we most just have piles of dirt.

Very impressive, and FAST! Those must be super-jiffy pots!

Remember Dharma & Greg and "Larry's" greenhouse? "I grow Oregano too!" lol

Rachel, I replied to your comment about the bread recipe. It's got a few links, so check it when you have a minute! :)

I finally got around to posting a reply here... Yes this is your brother.

Well you must be doing something right. Good job.
Of course this just serves to remind me that I still want to plant my own garden, however owing to my current complete lack of time I will have to buy seedlings... Oh well.

Just be sure to protect those seedlings once they're planted. I already gave you my recipe for natural, food-grade insecticide. For dealing with larger pests (rabbits, raccoons, etc...) an electric fence is very effective and CHEAP solution (I did my research on this, an entry level unit costs about $30, you can't get regular fencing that cheap!)
